Two songs from each band. Two good songs, nonetheless! This is as close as you'll get to hearing LzBnZ live. One of the best bands ever to come out of the village of St. Louis. You'll like our songs too-- I mean, you can hear them on this website, after all. But it'll sound all "cool" and "analog" or whatever because it's on a high-quality cassette tape that you can put in your dad's truck and listen to when you're taking your recycling to the depot outside of Wal Mart.

about

First of all, the title comes from a classic Jerry: wherein he says the wrong thing and gets heckled.
Diving into the song, we’re talking politics. The latter months of 2004, 2008, and 2012 were very trying: my patience got a test and so did my own love for the important people in my life. In politics, everyone thinks they are right: so much so that ears turn and eyes close. People preach change but don’t step up when it comes time to bat. Fights come and voids grow. I’ve found that these voids are usually fixed by mid-term election months, where they’re reopened!
The latter parts of the song are strictly confessional: I want to be a more patient, more open person. Even though being more open in this case would mean listening to more ideas from the Right, from which no good comes. It’s a bit of a double-edged sword. At the end of the day, I’m simply looking to be more compassionate and to love unconditionally. It’s a goal setting song and a song that preaches that we should speak at the right time.

lyrics

You're screaming for change, but never reach in your pocket
We talk about turnover, but rarely amongst friends

And it's cyclical, the way that we hate
So fuck you! You're from another state-- of mind of being
And we meld into things that we swore we would never be
When we were sixteen

And as our views change
We try, yeah we aim to strain
To stay true
The way we base our beliefs

I'm relearning to love and not to give a fuck
To live and let live, or to let die
I've tried so hard to see through the mortar
But it's all that I can take just to keep my mouth shut
